Par Boil potatoes and slice or halve and lay in a dish
The easiest recipe is to add cream, top with grated cheese and bake until the cheese is golden and serve.
I prefer spotting with some butter, adding some milk and then adding heaps of grated cheese, sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley and bake until golden.
Variations include sliced bacon, finely chopped onions or shallots, can of creamed corn, or any made up creamed soup mix. The mushroom soup is wonderful if you like mushrooms, and you can also add some chopped mushrooms to that.
I am generous with fresh herbs when I have them and also garlic and add both to the potato bakes.
I always garnish with fresh parsley or chives when serving.
